Rachel is the Principal Accredited Social Worker and Founder of Lighting Your Way Social Wellbeing.

She holds a Bachelor of Social Work (2019) and is an Accredited Member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW 55428).

Rachel brings both professional expertise and Lived Experience of disability to her work.
She built LYW to be a safe, inclusive, and neuroaffirming service for people who often fall through the gaps.

Rachel works from a strengths-based, client-centered approach, always assuming competence.
She believes every person is the expert in their own life, and adapts therapeutic supports flexibly to meet each client where they are at.

Her areas of focus & interests include:

  • Supporting neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities

  • Systems advocacy & policy change

  • Domestic and family violence support

  • Child protection and family law system navigation

  • Housing and homelessness

  • Community connection and well-being

  • Capacity building and skill development

  • Trauma healing and identity work

Rachel is passionate about creating real change both at the personal and systemic levels.
Alongside working directly with clients, she actively advocates for systemic reform by feeding back injustices and gaps in services to policymakers.

At the heart of everything Rachel does is a genuine care for people, a commitment to empowerment, and a belief that everyone deserves support that recognises their strengths, dignity, and unique journey.
