Counselling

Our therapeutic and counselling supports are designed to be neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and person-centred.
We recognize that every individual’s experiences, needs, and ways of processing the world are unique—and we tailor our approach to meet each person where they are, rather than expecting them to fit into a clinical model.

We integrate flexible, compassionate therapeutic frameworks to support growth, regulation, resilience, and self-understanding.

Our therapy and counselling supports include:

  • Walk and talk sessions

  • Individual therapeutic work using adapted modalities such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) through a neuroaffirming lens.

  • Trauma-informed and strengths-based practice, validating each person’s lived experiences without pathologizing neurodivergence.

  • Building emotional regulation tools in a way that honours sensory needs, cognitive styles, and real-life contexts.

  • Co-regulation and nervous system support, helping individuals recognize and respond to their own regulation needs in a safe, supported way.

  • Support with unmasking and self-identity work, creating space for clients to explore their authentic selves in a validating, non-judgmental environment.

  • Exploring demand sensitivity and PDA profiles through a compassionate framework, providing practical strategies that respect autonomy and reduce overwhelm.

  • Therapeutic support for social navigation, including managing social energy, setting boundaries, and balancing connection with self-care.

  • Grief and loss counselling, particularly relating to missed diagnoses, systemic barriers, and navigating a world that is often not designed for neurodivergent individuals.

  • Support with executive functioning challenges, using creative, personalized strategies rather than standardized clinical tools.

  • Parent and carer support for families of neurodivergent individuals, providing coaching, education, and emotional support in a neuroaffirming way.

Our approach is deeply collaborative, working with each client to create a therapeutic experience that feels safe, empowering, and truly reflective of who they are.
